Biography
Juergen Stadel was born in Germany, where he graduated as a Geodetic Engineer and spent most of his career implementing technical assistance-projects in Asia. As he lived and worked for 27 years in various Asian countries, he found himself being drawn by Hindu and Buddhist philosophies. The deep wisdom of the eastern teachings inspired him to pursue the teachings of Yoga similar to his wife Andrea Stadel. In South India, he did his yoga teacher training with her and became a certified Yoga teacher as he began to carry out his Yoga classes to Myanmar and now currently Laos. From there he further specialized in Sivananda Yoga and on applying Yoga as medicine in a natural and holistic way. During his stay in Sri Lanka he also studied Auriculotherapy (ear acupuncture) and has been practicing with his wife for the last 10 years. After retirement, he focuses on predominantly teaching Yoga classes here at our Wellness Centre with his wife.
